Many of the following kits have previously been offered for the Apache model aircraft. All of the following are now fully STC'd for installation on the PA23-250 series aircraft as well. Prices do not include installation or freight charges.
SPEED-SLOPE WINDSHIELD
|

| Installation
of this windshield results in lower cabin noise levels, dramatically
enhanced appearance and improved visibility. Cruise speed is increased
by 3-5 miles per hour. This windshield mounts approximately eight
inches farther out on the nose than the original, and you will need
to obtain a 1 foot by approximately 7 foot piece of glareshield cloth
to install in front of and partially under your existing glareshield.
We recommend a vertical card compass and the electronic OAT instrument
of your choice be installed at the same time. Call with questions,

DORSAL FIN

rudder trim is set, it will require almost no re-adjustment as fuel
burns and weight shifts during flight. The fin is fiberglass, and
is about three times the size of OEM. The fin is large enough to consider
the option of installing hidden antennas and/or remounting an existing
antenna inside. |

slaved compass and is a must for any radar installation. We have noticed
that slaved compass "swing" caused by electro-magnetic interference
(landing light turned on) is minimized after nose installation.

eight Lord mounts and complete installation plans. STC affords the
owner/installer great latitude in customizing panel to fit individual
avionics & instrumentation needs without the need for a field approval.

Rams-horn style control yokes. We currently
have this STC but our supply has back-ordered. A new manufacturer is in
the process of designing an updated style yoke similar to the Aztec F
yoke. It will include push-to-talk switches on both yokes, provisions
for autopilot cut-off switches on both yokes, and electric trim switch-mounting
provision on pilot yoke. Price will be about $1,295 per pair.
Rochester engine instrumentation.We
are currently working with Rochester Gauges of Texas to introduce new
2-1/4" dual-needle STC'd backlit gauges. All gauges will be electronic
with analog movements. They will include: Fuel quantity with new sending
units, oil temp, oil pressure, fuel pressure, CHT & EGT. These gauges
will eliminate the inaccuracy and availability problems associated with
the old AC and Stewart Warner obsolete OEM units installed at the factory.
These will be available for injected, carburated and turbo-charged models.
A 3-1/8" dual electric STC'd tachometer will also be available. This unit
will pick-up signals from the magnetos, thus eliminating the need for
noisy, heavy tach cables or expensive tach generators. Other advantages
of these new gauges includes reduced weight, modern appearance and no
oil or fuel lines running into the cabin. All gauges will be switchable
for 14v or 28v operation.
Co-pilot brakes.We have been working
with a firm in Wisconsin to add co-pilot brake pedals and hydraulics similar
to the OEM design found on some E and most F model Aztecs. These will
become available for all Aztec and Apache/Geronimo models in the near
future.
Engine nacelles. We are in the process
of designing an adaptation of our Geronimo engine nacelles to fit the
Aztec models. They will have the same 2-piece design as the Geronimo.
These nacelles incorporate a camlock system which allows a four minute
removal and re-installation time. The nacelles will include a re-designed
induction air intake system and will improve cooling, reduce shock-cooling
and decrease drag. This improvement will also increase combustion air
inlet airflow.
